NOW OPEN – Browns Mill Aquatic Center July 27th

STONECREST, GA – With temperatures creeping into the 90s, the City of Stonecrest is excited to announce that the Browns Mill Aquatic Center is ready to open for summertime fun!

The center will reopen on Tuesday, July 27 at noon. After navigating disruptions to the supply chain for pool equipment and supplies, ensuring that all mechanics are in good working order and thoroughly cleaning all the water features, the Parks and Recreation Department is ready and excited for splash down this week.
There are new chairs and tables on deck, and you’re welcome to bring your own lawn chairs. Since the facility has been closed for more than a year, here are the key point to remember: Opening the Aquatic Center is key step in the phased re-opening of City parks and recreation facilities. Staff will continue to monitor Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Georgia Department of Public Heath (DPH) guidelines on protecting public health, as well as track DeKalb County DPH COVID-19 statistics for the area.

We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we move safely towards resuming pre- pandemic activities and continue to work together to be a world-class city.
